1:30am Temperatures & Monday Weather Outlook

We suppose it isn’t shocking to see temperatures like this any longer. But we suppose the shocking part is that we continue to see maps like this.
This stretch of cold is unprecedented. Sunday was Day 16 of temperatures remaining at or below freezing in Poughkeepsie. That ties the 1961 record which produced numerous record lows in late January, including -30° on January 21, 1961.
Sunday night will be clear, with diminishing winds… temperatures will range between -10° to +5°… and wind chills will range between 0° and -20°!!!
Highs on Monday should reach only into the mid 20s, which will likely break the 1961 record. Monday looks dry, with sunshine mixing with afternoon clouds. Monday night looks partly cloudy with temps in the single digits again. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Highs near 30° are expected.
Bundle up, and have a great start to your week!
