Thursday was winter’s last stand… with snow showers and flurries through the day. We begin to turn the corner on Friday…
Mostly sunny skies will close out our work week. We’ll continue to have a breezy NW wind but the gusts won’t be too strong. A milder air mass is pushing into the region, and that will allow us to get our temps up near the 60° mark. Friday will still be about 2 or 3 degrees below the average of 63° for the date in Poughkeepsie… but the improvements from Thursday’s weather will be dramatic.
Saturday will be even nicer as a WSW flow gets our temperatures into the low and mid 60s for afternoon highs. Clouds will increase through the day ahead of our next storm for Saturday night into Sunday. A storm system moving east across the country will spread rain into the Hudson Valley near or after midnight Saturday night. That should transition into a soggy and chilly Sunday across the area. So the first half of the weekend looks considerably nicer than the 2nd half.
We hope you enjoy your Friday!
