A weak area of low pressure pushing into the Great Lakes will send patchy areas of moisture into the Hudson Valley and Northeast late Friday night and into Saturday morning.

You can see on the futurecast radar for 5am… that some very light, patchy drizzle and freezing drizzle falls across the Hudson Valley.

Temperatures at that time are projected to be in the upper 20s to low 30s, which would support the idea of freezing drizzle. The computer guidance suggests that temperatures warm into the mid 30s by 10 or 11am on Saturday, and that any ice would transition to plain cold rain showers

There are several details that need to be monitored closely…
… The amount of moisture appears to be very limited, so how much moisture arrives before temperatures climb above freezing is uncertain.
… The temperatures in the valley have been consistently colder than projected over the past couple days. If this trend continues on Saturday morning, conditions could be more icy than currently projected
… Travel Saturday morning may be very hazardous. If you have plans, be sure to check for updates on Friday afternoon / evening.
