Good Morning! Happy Friday!
A glance at the current radar would suggest that a pretty good soaking is inbound to from our west. A glance at the short range data suppers the look of the current radar as well. What the data also shows is, that this shield of rain’s bark is bigger than its bite, much of this precipitation appears to become more scattered in coverage as it approaches the region. You can see the the majority of precipitation falls over the Catskills, even there it’s less than .25” of precipitation, further east very little if any rainfall. Temps will certainly surge a bit this afternoon as warm air surges north ahead of an incoming cold front. Modeling disagrees a bit on how warm it may get, but we will at least reach onto the upper 50’s in some valley locations, but we may flirt with 60°.
