Friday’s Weather : Increasing Clouds with Late Day Rain

– Rain develops between 2pm & 6pm
– Rainfall totals roughly 0.25″ to 0.50″ expected
– Temps in the upper 50s to near 60° for highs Friday afternoon

A weak clipper system from Canada drops down Friday afternoon, and will drag a cold front behind it. Friday we’ll see early sunshine fade behind increasing clouds during the morning hours. It looks like the rain pushes into the northern counties (Delaware, Greene) as early as 2 or 3pm… and gradually pushing southeast during the late afternoon / early evening. This could cause for reduced visibility due to steadily falling rain… and tire spray from the vehicles in front of you. Just use a little extra caution late Friday afternoon.
Temps on Friday will climb into the 40s and 50s by early afternoon… with highs expected. in the upper 50s to near 60°. Behind the front, we don’t expect a big temperature drop. There is no arctic air behind this weak front, so temps on Saturday will only be about 5 to 10 degrees cooler. Saturday high temperatures will climb into the upper 40s and low 50s under a partly cloudy sky. A rather decent and seasonable day for Saturday afternoon.

Sunday we’ll see another approaching cold front, temps could spike into the 60s before another round of rain likely arrives during the afternoon. But more on that as we go through the weekend.

Be sure to prepare for a damp evening commute to close the work week. Otherwise, have a great Friday! TGIF!!
