Happy New Year, Hudson Valley! We hope everyone had a safe and happy start to 2022!! Our pea soup weather is about to change in the next 24 hours, but not before we see more scattered rain showers through the area.
Saturday Night: Rain showers tapering to patchy drizzle. Mild. Low in the upper 40s.
Sunday: Mainly cloudy with scattered morning showers. Turning blustery and much colder. Early high in the mid 40s, falling into the 30s. Wind chill in the 20s.
Sunday Night: Variable clouds, blustery and much colder. Low in the mid 20s. Wind chills in the teens.
Low clouds, fog and patchy drizzle will become periods of light to moderate rain showers Saturday night. Temps will remain mild, in the upper 40s and low 50s through the night, as the cold front approaches from the northwest. On Sunday, our winds shift out of the NW and usher in some much colder air. Temps Sunday morning in the low to mid 40s will hold steady, and begin falling through the day… into the 30s before sunset. The gusty NW winds will push very cold air into the Hudson Valley Sunday night and Monday. Wind chills Sunday night will be in the teens… and remain in the teens through Monday. So after a very mild end to 2021… and warm start to 2022, things will quickly change… with below normal temps to start the 1st week of the year.
Enjoy your weekend!! Happy New Year!
