The official start of summer is about a week away, and we are seeing signs of summer in the air mass across the Hudson Valley. The average high temperature for this time of year is in the upper 70s in the valley. Afternoon high temps across the region in the low 80s are expected each day, along with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Humidity levels are going to be rather comfortable, making ‘real feel’ temps close to the actual air temp. So this week looks warm compared to average, but not too hot.
In terms of chances of rain… an area of rain and T-Storms will pass by to our southwest on Monday night into Tuesday, areas close to the NY/PA border could see a shower or two… but the main area of rain and T-Storms should be off to our west in Pennsylvania. Then things should clear out through much of Wednesday, before another chance of showers and T-Storms pushes into the valley by Thursday afternoon. We’ll have to monitor the details for late week, because a bit of an unstable airmass could settle into the northeast, similar to what we saw on Sunday (yesterday). That could mean a tricky forecast in terms of details.
For now, have a great start to your week!
