After a great weekend across the region with a near perfect Saturday and a decent Sunday despite the clouds giving us a sneak preview of how the work week would begin. A low pressure system located off the coast is sending waves of showers into the region, this will continue through the day and quite honestly into Wednesday. None of the next few days will be a wash out by any means, periods of rain and showers that will be separated by overcast skies and above normal temps. Over this period anywhere from .30-.60” of rain is likely with the lower amounts in your typical downslope locations. Amounts may be even a bit higher yet across the southern and eastern slopes of the Catskills and Hudson Highlands. Temps will be above normal, highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will make a run for the 70° mark. High pressure regains control to for the second half of the week with sun returning and drier weather.
