Monday Discussion : Unsettled Pattern Starts the Week

After a fairly nice fall weekend, the work week will become a bit unsettled… as a warm front lingers over the region…

You can see on the Monday weather map, that cooler temperatures over the northern HV and Catskills are indicative of a warm front stalled over the Hudson Valley.  A southerly flow over the southern half of the valley will push temperatures up into the low and mid 70s… despite considerable cloud cover on Monday.  As you move into the Catskills… and points north… we see highs only pushing into the 60s, as a result of thicker clouds and patchy drizzle.

So an unsettled Monday is expected across the Hudson Valley, with Mainly cloudy skies… with hopefully a few breaks of sunshine.  Highs in the lower half of the valley in the low 70s… low to mid 60s in the Catskills and upper HV.  A few spotty showers and areas of drizzle are increasingly possible as you move further north.  The chance of spotty showers and drizzle will increase overnight Monday and into Tuesday… as the front pushes further south.

Have a great start to your week!
