Monday Morning Discussion : Quiet Start to the Week

935am Monday, March 20th, 2023
Good morning everyone! ??
Starting off the morning cold with temperatures in the mid 20°s, but it will warm up to the upper 40°s in the higher terrain and lower 50°s for the valley areas. It will be relatively dry from now through Wednesday. Temperatures will reach around 60° for a high Tuesday through Thursday and then drop to around 50° Friday and around 42° by Saturday for a high.
We will start seeing precipitation in the form of rain starting in the early morning hours of Thursday. Precipitation is brought on by a warm front pushing north through the northeast. It will be too warm to worry about any black ice and snow. Temperatures, precipitation type, precipitation percent, and more information can be found on my graphics.
Valley Area and Higher Terrain:
Thursday and Friday are looking generally like rain ??
Valley Area:
Saturday looks to be a mix of rain ?? and snow ?? for Saturday morning and changing to all rain by mid day as temperatures start to rise to around 42° for a high.
Higher Terrain:
The first half of the day Saturday looks like snow ?? starting out in the early morning hours as temperatures drop from 33° to 30° by morning into mid day and rises to around 34° for a ??rain/snow?? mix.
Today (Monday) is the only chance to see the sun ?? as the rest of the work week starts to cloud up from Tuesday through Thursday, and Thursday through the weekend is when we get precipitation (overcast and cloudy). Even though it’s going to be cloudy, it’s still going to be on the warm side during the day, just a little cold in the mornings in the mid 20°s to around 30°.
This is the weather forecast as of now and will go through many changes by Thursday, so please check back to HVW for the latest weather updates by Alex, Bill, and myself.
Please, be kind and be safe,
-Todd
