Monday Outlook : Unsettled Start to the Work Week

The stalled boundary that has given us a mainly gray weekend, won’t be going anywhere right away, and that will bring us a gray and damp start to the week.

?? Monday: Mostly to mainly cloudy skies, patchy areas of drizzle and a spotty shower possible in the afternoon. High around 70°. Chance of rain 40%
?? Monday Night: Cloudy with patchy drizzle and scattered showers. Low in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 50%.
?? Tuesday: Scattered morning rain showers, otherwise mostly cloudy skies. High in the low 70s.
Monday and Tuesday are likely to see little if any sunshine, as the instability over the Hudson Valley and Northeast lingers with the stalled frontal boundary. The day on Monday starts off dry, but some patchy drizzle and areas of scattered showers could develop by late in the day. The areas of scattered rain showers and drizzle are likely to linger through the night Monday night into Tuesday morning. Nothing overly heavy… as you can see by the graphic that rainfall amounts of only a trace to two tenths of an inch are expected. We’ll likely just be damp and cool much of that time. The areas of rain are not going to be organized, so be prepared for a stray shower or two at pretty much any point Monday into Tuesday

By Wednesday we should begin to see skies clearing a bit more, and temperatures will begin climbing into the low 80s. Thursday could be even warmer… possibly climbing into the mid and upper 80s for afternoon highs. We’ll have to see just how warm Thursday could get.

Don’t let the gray skies get you down… have a great start to your week!
