A well-deserved break from the heat and humidity around the region to start the work week. Some absolutely beautiful weather, great for outdoor activities, if you have plans.
Monday we’ll have lots of sunshine, mixing with fair weather clouds through the day. Our Candian air mass will keep temperatures about 5° below average for a change… with afternoon highs both days in the upper 70s to near 80°. Dew points in the low 50s will give us a very comfortable feel to go along with the lower temperatures.
Monday night… could be the coolest night since the beginning of June across the region. For most of July, overnight temps rarely fell below 60° in the Hudson Valley. Tonight we’ll see temps fall into the low and mid 50s… with even a few upper 40s possible in the colder spots. A great chance to let some fresh air into the house!

Tuesday looks like a repeat of Monday in many ways… low humidity, comfortable temperatures and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Enjoy it while you can, because the heat and humidity begin to build again on Wednesday… with highs climbing into the mid 80s… and by Thursday, the region could be looking at afternoon highs near 90° with heat index values in the mid 90s… and Friday looks like it could be an absolute scorcher… with highs in the low to mid 90s, and “real feel” heat index values approaching 100°!!
We’ll watch things as the week progresses, and give you updates along the way. Have a great start to your week!
