Monday’s Weather… Summer Heat & Humidity, Scattered T-Storms

Our humid summer weather pattern continues on Monday, as we head into the middle of July. The humid weather pattern remains locked into the eastern US. So on Monday we’ll have a mix of clouds and sunshine, as morning temps near 70°… climb into the mid 80s by the afternoon hours. High humidity will make the air feel heavier and hotter… giving us “feels like” temperatures near 90° on Monday afternoon.
We’ll be watching for the potential development of a broken line of showers & T-Storms to develop to our NW Monday afternoon… and push toward our area near evening. Guidance is conflicted on how many showers & T-Storms will develop, so this ‘futurecast radar’ shown may be over done… but we want to prepare for the possibility of scattered T-Storms Monday afternoon and evening. Chances are rather low (less than 50%)… but if your area gets caught under a stalled out thunderstorm… flash flooding could become an issue. So just be alert to the potential as we go through the day Monday.

We’ll have updates as things develop later on Monday, so keep an eye out for those. But these conditions could repeat themselves on Tuesday, and possibly on into Wednesday… as our humid and unsettled weather pattern continues. Have a great Monday, Hudson Valley!
