We’ve been locked in a hot and humid pattern the last 10 days, and that trend continues as we head into the work week.

Another Heat Advisory is in effect for Monday across the Hudson Valley… with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs are expected to be in the low 90s… but the high dew points in the mid to upper 70s will make those temperatures feel like the upper 90s and near 100°. Make sure you use proper caution. Similar conditions will be with us on Tuesday, as we once again see highs in the low to mid 90s… and ‘real feel’ temperatures approaching 100°. Be sure to plan accordingly.
Precipitation wise, things look rather quiet. We’ll track some scattered trying to develop Monday evening, but the line of scattered showers & T-Storms should weaken as it approaches prior to midnight. A similar setup appears possible Tuesday night as well, so we’ll have to keep an eye on things as the week unfolds. After a soggy start to the year… we are nearing the point where parts of the region are abnormally dry.

The ‘Drought Monitor’ is beginning to show patches of yellow across eastern NY, indicating areas of abnormally dry conditions. So some light rain showers would be helpful. If any areas of rain become more likely Monday or Tuesday evening, we’ll share that update with you.
A hot and humid start to the week… possibly with some chances of evening scattered showers here or there. But hopefully we’ll get a shift in the pattern with some cooler, less humid air arriving by late in the week (Thu/Fri).

We’ll keep you posted as we move through the week. Have a great start to your week!
