After an unsettled end to the work week, we’ll watch sunshine try to make a return to the region on Saturday.
Our region is on the dividing line between a cool, dry air mass to our north… and the approaching remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon. For Saturday, the ridge of high pressure should keep us dry… with the remnants of Gordon being held back over the Ohio Valley. The trick is… who will win the battle between the approaching clouds from our southwest… and the dry air pushing in from the northeast? The answer will be determined during the day on Saturday… with the likelihood being more sunshine for our northern viewers and those in the Catskills… with more cloudiness as you move further and further south. Temps will be cooler than recent days… only topping out around 70°.
