It’s been the summer of heat and humidity across the Hudson Valley, and Saturday will be no different…

We’ll see hazy sunshine mixing with increasing afternoon clouds, and afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s across the Hudson Valley. The thick humidity will make those air temperatures feel much higher, with a *Heat Advisory* in effect across much of the Mid and Lower Hudson Valley. Make sure to take it slow this afternoon if you’re heading outside for work or play.
However, to add an extra factor into the mix, we’ll be watching as pop up super cell T-Storms begin develop across the lower and mid Hudson Valley later this afternoon…

This futurecast radar image for 5pm tells the story, which is that we’ll likely have pop up showers and T-Storms developing all across the region. They’ll be hit or miss, and more numerous near and south of I-84. But everyone will have a chance at a T-Storm or heavy downpour. The main concerns from these storms will be heavy downpours, and potentially strong… damaging wind gusts. The timing on these storms appears to be increasing development after 3pm… with the storms most numerous between 5pm and 8pm.
We’ll try to share updates on social media as the storms begin to pop across the region. Have a great afternoon!
