The storm system affecting the Hudson Valley on Sunday is weaker and further offshore than originally expected. The result is a Sunday that looks not quite as unsettled.
Morning scattered light rain showers will get us off to a damp start on Sunday. The storm should pull far enough off shore by mid day, to turn off the scattered rain showers entirely by mid day in the Hudson Valley. Clouds will hold on for our afternoon hours, potentially mixing with a few breaks of sunshine as the afternoon progresses. The departure of the rain showers by noon will allow temperatures to creep up a few degrees higher than originally anticipated… with highs in the upper 50s and near 60°.

So the region could certainly use some rainfall around the region, so this change… while possibly good news for those with plans on Sunday… is not great news in the big picture.
As we head into the work week, sunshine will return with breezy and cool conditions on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday look outstanding however… with a southwest flow and temperatures climbing well into the 60s and 70s. So after a cool couple days, some beautiful weather heading to the region for the coming week.
We hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
