Thursday will find us in between waves of low pressure across the Hudson Valley. Our first batch of rain showers will exit by sunrise on Thursday. That should allow for low clouds and patchy areas of fog to mix with breaks of sun by late morning and early afternoon. Don’t expect much in the way of sunshine, but the skies could brighten a bit. Temps will continue to be mild, ranging from the mid 40s to low 50s in general around the region. Just how warm the temperatures get, depends on the sunshine. The more sun we see… the more likely our afternoon temps will climb into the low and even mid 50s.
The next batch of showers should arrive tonight. A brief round of showers is possible around sunset… likely between 6pm and 8pm. Those showers look light, before a steadier round of rain showers arrive after midnight. The rain showers overnight should be with us into the early morning on Friday, likely giving us a wet AM commute. Winter returns on Friday afternoon, as temperatures will fall back toward normal levels. So be ready for that. Until then… enjoy our February thaw.
