After a cool weekend, with temperatures and gusty winds that felt more like late April… Monday saw temps right back near average for this time of year. Tuesday may be the 1st day of Summer… but those 80° temps will be a one day affair. Another wave of low pressure drops in from Canada on Tuesday, that will bring increasing clouds, and a chance of mid to late afternoon scattered showers. Those showers will be with us through the evening hours on Tuesday and into Wednesday. The instability and chilly air will be with us both Wednesday and Thursday as well. As temperatures struggle into the 60s both Wednesday and Thursday… as the jet stream once again drives a chilly upper level low pressure into the New England area. So while the center of the country bakes from Western PA back to Chicago and down to Texas… we’ll be chilly here in the Hudson Valley. A chilly and unsettled start to summer… and no indication of sustained summer heat (mid 80s or hotter) in the mid range either (5 to 10 days). We’ll keep an eye on things… but for now, we hope you have a great Tuesday!
