Tuesday will start out spectacular, with a mix of clouds and sunshine, and a warm southerly wind. Temps on Tuesday will quickly climb into the upper 60s and low 70s. By early afternoon, temps should top out in the mid 70s. But we’ll be tracking a cold front approaching from the NW, and it will bring the threat for showers and thunderstorms back to the Hudson Valley by mid afternoon.
The timing on these appears to be 3pm to 7pm primarily, from north to south. This looks likely to make a mess of the PM commute. Downpours and gusty winds are the primary concern at this point, but we’ll have to monitor for the potential of some severe thunderstorms to develop. Right now the severe threat appears to be low… but we’ll double check Tuesday morning, to see if things appear any more concerning.
Try and enjoy the nice weather, before the storminess arrives. Have a great Tuesday!
