Another hot and humid summer day around the Hudson Valley. Afternoon highs are expected in the upper 80s, with real feel temps in the low to mid 90s after factoring in the humidity. We’ll have a mix of clouds and sun through much of the day, but an approaching frontal boundary will touch off scattered showers & T-Storms later today, and a few of those could be severe.

We anticipate that a broken line of scattered showers and T-Storms will develop and move from NW to SE, through the Hudson Valley, between 4pm and 10pm. There is the potential for a few of those storms to contain some strong… potentially damaging wind gusts. The risk is highest as you go further south, but as the futurecast radar image shows… the projected squall line looks potent across the entire Hudson Valley. The squall line should begin approaching the NW part of the region near the evening commute… and push SE through the Hudson Valley near sunset.
We’ll track this through the afternoon, and share updates as things begin to unfold around the region later this afternoon. Have a great day!
