Tuesday’s Weather : Mid Summer Heat

Lots of sunshine and blue skies are expected for Tuesday across the Hudson Valley. High pressure over the northeastern US has allowed for the heat to build once again. As we approach mid week, we’ll see a weak trough try to spread some much needed rain into the Northeast and Hudson Valley.

Tuesday… Sunshine and blue skies with a few clouds. Highs near 90°. Heat index values near air temperatures, due to low to moderate humidity levels.

Tuesday Night…. Partly to mostly clear skies. Warm, with overnight lows around 70°.
Wednesday…. Sunshine mixing with increasing clouds. Continued hot with moderate humidity. A Highs around 90°. A small chance of scattered showers and T-Storms late in the day. Chance of rain around 30%.
Wednesday night… Mostly cloudy skies with a few scattered showers and possibly a downpour. Low in the upper 60s. Chance of rain 50%.

We’ll have to watch closely and see how the threat for scattered showers develops on Wednesday night into Thursday. Make sure you check back for more information as we get closer to Wednesday and Wednesday night. The trough appears very week, and the areas of rain appear very spotty and disorganized in nature… making it hard to trust the details this far out. Rainfall has become increasingly hard to come by of late… and we’re seeing some areas become abnormally dry once again.
