A Canadian airmass is on the way… diving out of Canada for the middle and later part of the week. But before that arrives Tuesday night, we should have a beautiful Tuesday around the region. Sunshine and blue skies, with highs in the mid 60s, which is about 5 degrees above average for mid October. Anyone with plans will find the weather very much to your liking.

As we approach sunset, we’ll begin seeing increasing clouds ahead of the cold front. An area of scattered rain showers is likely to develop ahead of the front, and is expected to push through the region Tuesday night. Rainfall amounts are expected to be mainly light… with a trace to 0.25″ likely.
Then on Wednesday we expect blustery conditions with a few scattered rain showers under mostly cloudy skies. Highs on Wednesday are likely to be in the low 60s as the front pushes through. On Thursday we’ll see even cooler conditions, with highs in the mid 50s.
The fall-like air will then stick with us through the end of the week, and into the weekend. But it looks like we’ll remain dry through the weekend, so once again weekend plans should not be impacted. Even though we really could still use some more rain. Despite the potential for significant rain… much of the region saw less than 0.25″ over the past 48 hours. Hopefully we get a little more rain Tuesday night. Have a great Tuesday!
