A warm summer day on tap for this Wednesday before a long holiday weekend. Sunshine will mix with periods of clouds… and a spot shower can’t be ruled out, especially toward the Catskills. The heat will build into the mid 80s for an afternoon high, and humidity levels will be higher than yesterday.
Looking to the 4th of July festivities… Thursday will see clouds battle with blue skies through much of the day. It does appear that skies could be mostly cloudy… but any thundershower threat should be held off to our west… meaning the Hudson Valley looks dry for Independence Day. Temps will be warm, with highs in the mid to upper 80s… and it will be humid, making for real feel temps in the upper 80s to near 90°.
Looking to the long weekend… Friday we could have afternoon thunderstorms to dodge, with hot and humid conditions… highs in the mid 80s are likely. Saturday will have the best chance for thunderstorms, as a cold front pushes south through the region. Ahead of the front, temps will again be in the mid 80s with high humidity. The storms on Saturday could be strong to severe, so we’ll have to watch closely as we move through the second half of the week. As it stands now… Sunday looks likely to see improving conditions, with a drier, less humid flow out of the north. We’ll have to see if that trend holds as we get closer.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
