Wednesday Discussion: One Dry Day

Today should be the day… (fingers crossed)… where we end our consecutive days of measurable rainfall at 12. Barring a renegade rain shower… the vast majority of the Hudson Valley should remain dry today… in the wake of our evening showers on Tuesday.

For the remainder of our Wednesday… we expect clouds mixing with increasing sunshine. A cool northerly breeze will continue to usher in a cooler air mass. Highs this afternoon should top out in the low to mid 60s, which isn’t terrible for this time of year.

But our pattern of unsettled weather is not over yet, as Thursday looks to see clouds increase with a easterly wind. That will bring the threat of drizzle back into the equation by late afternoon. Temps will be pinned in the 50s as a result… so not the nicest of days in store. By Friday, things warm a bit, but remain unsettled… as our winds shift out of the SW. But you can see on the 5 day forecast, that nice days will be interspersed with showers through the weekend.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

  1. This has been a rather wet April/May by Hudson Valley standards, especially following on the heels of a very wet Fall 2018. Where is a place you can point us to for cumulative precipitation statistics for the Hudson Valley?
