Wednesday Discussion : Rain on the Way

Some much needed rainfall is on its way to the Hudson Valley this afternoon.
11am Radar Loop
The radar loop shows a large batch of rainfall moving NE. Light rain showers and drizzle are already making their way into the region. A steadier rain with embedded areas of heavy rain is back in central PA, and all of that is heading our way. While this may put a damper on Cinco de Mayo festivities, with rainfall being about 20% to 30% below average for the year so far… this is a very welcome sight. Rainfall amounts of 0.25″ to 0.75″ are expected, depending on the track of the embedded areas of heavier rain. Temps this afternoon will be in the 50s. Rain showers will taper off around sunset, and skies will clear overnight, and give us a cool but partly cloudy Thursday across the region.
Make sure you have your rain gear ready for this afternoon, as periods of rain will definitely be a factor. Have a nice afternoon!
