Wednesday Heat : Another Day, Another Advisory

Another Heat Advisory is in effect for our Wednesday, as the same OPPRESSIVE humidity that brought you Tuesday’s “Talcum free Baby Powder Radar Update”… remains in place for Wednesday. Expect highs around 90°… but real feel heat index values near 100°.
By now, you know the drill… but it’s worth repeating:
– To avoid heat exhaustion, take it slow, stay hydrated, and avoid extended periods outside.

As the remnants of Hurricane Beryl pass by to our north Wednesday night, it will drag a frontal boundary through that could give us a few scattered showers. Otherwise Thursday looks partly to mostly sunny and very warm, with highs 85° to 90°. Lower Humidity levels are expected on Thursday, making it slightly more comfortable across the region.

Friday into Saturday, we’ll track a weak low pressure wave along the coast that could touch off some rain showers. Considerable uncertainty exists at this point about those details, so if you have weekend plans… you will want to watch closely to see if the weekend could start out unsettled Friday night into Saturday.
Hang in there, Hudson Valley… another day of heat and humidity is on the way…
