A gorgeous Friday unfolding across the Hudson Valley, with lots of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the upper 50s and low 60s by mid day… and should continue to head near 70° for afternoon highs. Finally some mid spring weather… after a period of chilly weather for much of the week.
But a frontal boundary will approach this evening, and could spread a few scattered rain showers around the region tonight, with most of the region expecting around 0.10″ of rain. The showers will exit the region by Saturday morning… and the clouds should begin mixing with sunshine during the day on Saturday. We’ll have a NW breeze during the day, but nothing too strong. Afternoon highs on Saturday should climb into the mid and upper 50s around the Hudson Valley… but the breeze could make it feel like the 40s at times. A cool / somewhat chilly day… but nothing like the biting chill we saw on Tuesday afternoon.
The cooler air will remain on Sunday as well… with a mix of clouds and sun and highs in upper 50s to near 60.
A LOOK AHEAD…. NEXT WEEK….
Of course, once we reach Monday… our winds will swing around out of the SW, and temps will surge into the mid 70s… just in time for everyone to go back to work and school. As the week continues, much of the region should expect to see highs in the upper 70s to low 80s for Tue & Wed… as an upper level high pressure settles over the eastern US. How long will those May-like temps last? We’ll keep our eyes on it. For now… TGIF, Hudson Valley! Enjoy the beautiful day!
