A large area of high pressure over the eastern US has the Hudson Valley heating up as we close out the work week. Highs around the region should reach the mid to upper 80s, roughly 15 degrees above average… feeling more like July than mid May. The same on Saturday as we watch a weak system pass by to our south. We should see partly to mostly cloudy skies on Saturday, and we can’t rule out a stray sprinkle in spots. But we stay mostly dry, and rather warm (upper 70s to around 80°). Then a weak front slides through and we should see temps drop 10 to 15 degrees across the valley for Mother’s Day on Sunday. Giving us what should be a beautiful day for all the Mom’s out there!
