Wednesday Weather Discussion : Unsettled Early, Awesome Afternoon

Our Wednesday starts off cloudy and unsettled, as a warm front pushes east around sunrise on Wednesday. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers and a few embedded T-Storms for our morning commute. The unsettled weather doesn’t appear widespread, but be prepared for a few showers or a localized downpour on the way to work or school.
But the skies should give way to breaks of sun by mid day, and that will allow temperatures to quickly climb into the 70s and even some low 80s around the region. A stray late day T-Storm can’t be fully ruled out (20% chance), but it’s very unlikely. Instead it’s looking like partly cloudy and very warm, with highs around 80°! That’s about 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year, some gorgeous weather for our Wednesday.

Enjoy the beautiful weather however… because some BIG changes are on the way. Another storm system approaches for Thursday afternoon. Clouds move in Thursday afternoon, with highs in the 60s… and scattered rain showers and drizzle arrive before sunset. Those scattered showers and drizzle will be with us through the night Thursday night, and last into Friday. Winds will shift around on Friday as well, so temperatures are likely to remain pinned in the 40s and low 50s for highs on Friday. A DRAMATIC difference to close out the work week. We’ll track this system as we get closer… but based on the weather pattern shift beginning on Thursday, we better enjoy the beautiful Wednesday while we can!
